To open up the RPG genre is the best selling RPG series in the whole world; Final Fantasy. Being a great fan of this seemingly endless gaming series, I can't find any other word to describe it other than artistic. Although many believe there are many better series, they all have to admit it is an amazing series. From I to XIII, Crystal Chronicles to Dissidia, from Singe-player to MMO, this series has made a great impact for any RPG player with the series influence. The most recent entry for the main series was an awful disappointment for any MMO, but I personally believe their MMO's aren't what people look too and that Final Fantasy XIII 2 will bring back the fanbase's loved game. Calling this game a colossal series is an understatement and even series such as Halo and Call of Duty don't stand up to the great sales, fans, and effort into a game as Square Enix has put into their series.
oh man - i remember playing it on the super nintendo back when I thought mario was hardmode!
ReplyDeleteMoved on to FF7 when i got my ps1 and played each game tup till 10 - never bought a ps3
i remember when i was younger, there were always ads out for Final Fantasy 12-99 what ever, soo many of them, i felt this lessened the individuality of each game. the movie was good though.
ReplyDeleteThere was also two movies, and two television series... I do have to admit the amount they've done is overkill and may seem as if they are throwing out games but they actually have like three groups working on games coinciding.
ReplyDeleteLoved games like, and any rpg really
ReplyDeleteYeah Square enix FTW! :D
ReplyDeleteMy all time favorite is FF7... probably the best adventure/RPG game ever!
ReplyDeleteThis game looks great.

I remember that guy in 12, what a hard boss. Finally got to him though. Good blog!
ReplyDeleteOld FF's are the best. IX is my favorite, the new ones really dont light any sparks for me.
ReplyDeleteFinal fantasy...meh...i never really played it :/
ReplyDeleteI remember when my mom got my stepdad FFVIII and he hated it. He wasn't a serious enough gamer to get through Final Fantasy and my mom just got it because she saw a badass guy with a huge scar on her face and figured he'd enjoy it.
ReplyDeleteHe didn't like it so I decided to play it and was instantly hooked by the insane graphics. Then the storyline kept me engaged and after that, I decided to play everyone after that.
It took me forever to get VII, and even longer to beat it, but I've played VII-XIII (excluding XI), Tactics, Tactics Advance, Dissidia, X-2...They were all great memories.
fbhjkdshfjas I love Final Fantasy! X is my favorite.
